The Pork Tapeworm (Taenia solium)

The Pork Tapeworm (Taenia solium) is a common parasite, particularly in developing countries, with up to 20 million people worldwide infected by it. Tapeworm cysts can form in the brain (neurocysticercosis, which causes 50,000 deaths annually) or other parts of the body. More information about Taenia solium is available in my PDF, and in this PowerPoint.
